Vancouver Olympic Venues
There are various olympic venues located in and around Vancouver.
- The Opening and Closing Ceremonies and the medal presentations are to be held in the BC Place Stadium.
- The Pacific Coliseum is the venue for the short track skating and figure skating. Hillcrest Park is the Curling location.
- Ice hockey is at the GM Place. The secondary venue for ice hockey is the UBC Winter Sports Centre.
- Speed skating is located at the Richmond Olympic Oval and the Cypress Mountain Resort is the site for freestyle skiing, snowboard, and ski cross events.
- In nearby Whistler, Alpine Skiing, cross country skiing, ski jumping, biathlon and the bobsled, luge and skeleton are held.
